New partnership with Berkley Modular Announced

Gravesham’s youth service and Berkley Modular announce new partnership investing in the future of young people

Local business Berkeley Modular has chosen Gifted Young Generation (GYG), the local youth service, as their charity partner.

The new partnership will help generate essential funding to allow youth projects and services such as free mental health counselling to continue and grow throughout the borough.

Berkeley Modular, who are based on the banks of the Thames in Northfleet building modular homes, will also provide mentoring services, work placements and employment opportunities to young people.

Jackie Coupar, Youth Work Manager said, “The team from Berkeley are incredible, their company has the same positive outlook and ethos that we do - to help people learn, grow and succeed. From the first meeting we discussed that we want to invest in the futures of young people. We are incredibly excited to start our partnership together.”

Their staff will be volunteering at local projects and helping raise additional funds throughout the three years.

Brendan Twomey, Managing Director at Berkeley Modular comments: “It is key that Berkeley and our designated charity share the same principles and values. Gifted Young Generation helps young people to develop skills for their futures, create friendships and supports young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The positive impact on these young people and their community is immense.

“Both Berkeley and GYG have tremendous energy and passion for what they do and what they believe in, and as a team will leverage even greater achievements.

“At Berkeley Modular we have a fantastic vehicle for the development of new skills in Digital Design, Advanced Supply Chain, Engineering and Lean Manufacturing. The partnership with GYG is a special opportunity to build on their great work and continue to make a lasting difference to young people’s lives and our community.”
